Update: The “week 12″ homework won’t be due until the week after next – i.e. both “week 12″ and “week 13″ homeworks will be due in 2 weeks.
The “Week 11″ homework won’t be due until next week – i.e. both “week 11″ and “week 12″ homeworks will be due next week.
Here are solutions to last week’s quiz.
I think the quiz was a pretty good example of the kind of Lagrange multiplier question that you might get on a midterm. If you got less than 4 out 10 on the quiz, I would strongly recommend you spend some time reviewing that material before next week’s midterm.

We’ll be handing back midterms this week, and we will have a quiz.

Update: Due to the power outage we didn’t have a quiz on Monday. To make up the quiz we will have a quiz next week during Monday’s class.
Update 2: Don’t forget that you’re to turn in 2 sets of homework this week. This includes the homework that would have been due last week, but was pushed back due to the midterm. i.e. problems from sections 8.2, 8.3, and 8.4 are due.
Update 3: No quiz this week. We will have quizzes in both discussion sections next week.
Sunday 7-9PM, in the same room as usual (B321 Van Vleck). Bring questions.
-diego.
p.s. you can also leave questions in the comments
The quiz was a little bit on the hard side, but I was pleased to see that many of you got the correct answer.
